Accessibility at Luvéllin®

As of November 7, 2025

We want everyone to be able to use our content, products, and services – regardless of abilities, devices, or context. Therefore, Luvéllin® adheres to the EN 301 549 (V3.2.1) standard and meets the WCAG 2.1 success criteria at conformance level AA , to the extent technically possible. Furthermore, we are continuously improving our shop and our content.

Scope

This statement applies to all pages on luvellin.com (DE & EN), including product pages, category pages, blog, checkout, and customer account. Embedded third-party components (e.g., payment gateways, maps, review widgets, social media integrations) are not entirely within our control – we are working with the providers on accessible solutions for these.

Our Accessibility Promise

We adhere to the following principles:

  • Noticeable: Alternative text for images & icons; transcripts/subtitles for moving images; sufficient color contrasts (at least 4.5:1 for body text; 3:1 for large font/symbols).

  • Operable: Full keyboard navigation (tab order, focus rings, "skip links"), sufficient target sizes, no keyboard traps; no moving content without a stop/pause option.

  • Understandable: Clear, consistent navigation and heading structure; understandable forms with labels, help texts and meaningful error messages; language specified via lang attribute.

  • Robust: Clean, semantic HTML; economical and correct ARIA attributes; compatible with common screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and current browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.

Conformance status (Target: WCAG 2.1 AA)

  • Reached:

    • Semantic structure (H1–H6, lists, landmark regions) on core pages

    • Keyboard accessibility including visible focus states and "Skip to content" link

    • Alternative text for editorial images & product images (including placeholder rules)

    • Primary color contrasts according to AA

    • Forms with labels, aria‑describedby for error messages, inline validation

    • Responsive design & orientation (portrait/landscape), reflow up to 320px without information loss

    • Respect movements/animations “Reduce movement” (prefers-reduced-motion)

  • In progress / Partially completed:

    • Individual campaign graphics/text-in-image (alt texts & long descriptions will be added)

    • Older blog posts (heading hierarchy, link text, table additional information)

    • Third-party widgets (reviews, payment flows, embedded social media posts)

Known limitations

We are already working on the following points:

  1. External payment dialogs : Compliance lies with the respective provider; we report any barriers found.

  2. Rating/review plugins : Partially inadequate focus guidance/contrast – we are testing updates and alternatives.

  3. Campaign assets : Some seasonal banners contain text as a graphic – alt text is available; we also provide HTML text.

If you encounter a barrier, please let us know – we prioritize such tickets over other improvements.

Technical measures & quality assurance

  • Design system: Color and typography scales with AA contrast check; uniform components (buttons, forms, modals) with defined keyboard operation.

  • Editorial guidelines: Alt text guide (What? Why? Effect?), understandable link texts, no "Click here" links, maximum one H1 per page.

  • Tests: Combination of manual checks (keyboard, screen reader smoke tests) and automated scans (e.g., axe/WAVE/HTML validator).

  • Release-Gate: The accessibility checklist is part of every deployment.

Compatibility & supported environments

We typically test:

  • Desktop: Chrome, Firefox, Edge (Windows 11), Safari (macOS)

  • Mobile: Safari (iOS), Chrome (Android)

  • Screen reader: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
Older or exotic combinations may work, but are not actively part of our test scope.
